PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

We return to our mainstage venues with a fresh take on a fan favorite with Puccini’s La Bohème: Rodolfo Remembers. Take your seat and join the merry band of bohemians in a carefully tailored production that will be under two hours without an intermission. Our intimate take on Puccini’s classic is full of emotion and some of the most memorable pieces in all of opera. A perfect introduction to anyone curious about opera.

As we look forward to the return to our mainstage venues in Norfolk, Richmond, and Fairfax, we wanted to share with you updates to our theater policies.  We are working diligently to make your experience with Virginia Opera as safe as possible, while allowing for us all to enjoy live performances once again.

Our staff, artists, and crew are all required to be vaccinated, and we are testing on a regular basis.  We are doing this to ensure everyone’s safety, and to do our best to provide you the performance promised when you purchase your ticket.

For all performances at the Harrison Opera House, the Dominion Energy Center, or the George Mason University Center for the Arts, we are requiring our audiences to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before the performance or negative Rapid Antigen test within 48 hours.  Patrons will be asked to show proof of vaccination, or the negative test, with a photo ID prior to entering the theater.

For everyone’s safety we are also asking that you wear a mask while in the theater.  You are welcome to remove your mask to enjoy concessions.  Masks will be available for any patron needing one.

As conditions change, and updates are provided by federal, state, and local agencies, we will update this policy and communicate any revisions to these requirements.  Your support of the arts is truly appreciated, and we are doing what we can to allow for a safe return to the theater.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Box Office at info@vaopera.org or at 866.673.7282.
