Texas native Rhett Miller is perhaps best known as the frontman of the Dallas-based alt-country band the Old 97's, although he has also pursued a critically acclaimed solo career. Formed in 1993, the Old 97's built a devoted following with their brash blend of country and power pop influences. All four members also pursued side projects, but Miller's solo career captured the most attention. Most of Miller's solo albums have been dominated by cool, melodic pop tunes with a drier and more confessional bent than his work with the band.

Miller added podcasting to his resume in 2019 with the debut of Wheels Off, described in its subtitle as "A Show About the Messy Reality Behind the Creative Life," which featured interviews with musicians, authors, visual artists, comedians, and others who make their living from their art. Miller keeps busy, alternating between solo and band projects writing children’s book and appearing in Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3. 

This year, Rhett and Old 97’s are celebrating their 30^th anniversary with the release of American Primitives, their thirteenth studio album.

Since 2014, Tim Hause has carved out a name for himself as a cowriter, harmony singer, and multi instrumentalist with his brother Dave Hause. His debut release, the self titled TIM, is a collection of personal songs that reflect on his own journey while maintaining a universality that all listeners can relate to. The album shares his story - one of loss, love, duality, and finding beauty in the rubble. The album fuses folk singer songwriting with Indie rock and Indie Pop sensibilities. Sugaray Rayford is a man with a message and a larger-than-life personality and voice to deliver it. Working with producer, songwriter Eric Corne for the past 3 albums, the soul-blues powerhouse has crafted an incendiary sound and narrative, combining classic soul melodies and funky R&B grooves with raw blues power. The pair's first collaboration, Somebody Save Me, earned Rayford a 2020 Grammy nomination. Later that year he took home Blues Music Awards for 'Soul Blues Male Artist' and 'B.B. King Entertainer of the Year.' Rayford’s follow up, In Too Deep, won a plethora of awards including the Blues Music Award for ‘Soul Blues Album of the Year’.

Rayford’s new release is entitled Human Decency. The title track is a simple reminder that our similarities are stronger than our differences; and in the end, there is no black or white or left or right, there are only hearts and minds.

An all-star cast lent their talents to the album, including guitarist Rick Holmstrom and singer Saundra Williams who are both from Mavis Staples’s band, along with bassist Taras Prodaniuk (Lucinda Williams, Merle Haggard).

Award-winning Austin, Texas-based Hot Club Of Cowtown may be the world’s most globe-trotting, effervescent string trio, who’s joyful sound blends the traditional Western swing of the 1940s American southwest with European hot jazz influences of the same era. The Hot Club of Cowtown write their own original songs and reinterpret everything from hoedowns to American songbook standards in their own original style. The band's original lineup will be performing: Elana James on fiddle, Whit Smith on guitar, and Jake Erwin back on the upright bass

Hot Club Of Cowtown have toured with Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Roxy Music and others and proudly represent traditional American music throughout the world for the US State Department from Azerbaijan to the Sultanate of Oman. They have been named Ameripolitan Western Swing Group of the Year and they are members of the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame. Rust belt blues shouter and guitar slinger Larry McCray spent his early years on a farm as the second youngest of nine siblings. After trying his hand at saxophone in school, his older (and only) sister, Clara, introduced Larry to the guitar and the transformative music of the three Kings of the blues (B.B., Freddie and Albert).

Larry’s debut album, Ambition - aptly named as it fused elements of blues, rock, and soul to create a contemporary blues sound—was recorded in a friend’s Detroit basement studio and released in 1990 to critical acclaim. Throughout the 1990s, Larry continued to help define blues rock by collaborating with artists such as labelmate and fellow guitarist, Albert Collins, and releasing the much more slickly produced Delta Hurricane in 1993, Meet Me at the Lake in 1996 and Born to Play the Blues in 1998.

Over the past three decades of nonstop touring and recording, Larry has played and shared the stage with such blues greats as BB King, Buddy Guy, Albert King, John Mayall, Johnny Winter, Robert Cray, Keb Mo, Jimmie Vaughan, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Joe Bonamassa, as well as rock legends the Allman Brothers, Phil Lesh, Jonny Lang, Joe Walsh, Levon Helm, Chris Robinson, Dickey Betts, and countless others.

In 2021, Blues Without You, Larry’s latest, a 12-track release was recorded on famed blues rock guitarist Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive nonprofit label with producer Josh Smith, a partnership that has also spawned a video (for the upcoming single, “Arkansas”) and a documentary.

Bonamassa says, “Larry’s still a relatively young man, with a lot to say, and the world needs to know who he is. It’s the perfect time to have a rebirth of his music."

Stacy Mitchhart’s musical journey began in his native Cincinnati, Ohio, in a home where jazz guitar masters like Wes Montgomery and Johnny Smith were played on the stereo. Therefore, it was natural that he gravitated to the six-string. As a child he saw the outrageous Little Richard on a TV show and was captivated by his showmanship. Little Richard looked and acted differently than anybody he had ever been exposed to. Today, Mitchhart has created his own brand of showmanship that brings audiences back again and again.

Mitchhart has always been a bandleader. He developed his sound and stagecraft at the helm of four groups in Cincinnati — climbing the pinnacle of the city’s blues scene. He also began his recording career there, with his 1993 debut album, Blues Transfusion. Since then, he’s made a dozen more albums, culminating until now in 2009’s critically heralded Grown Ass Man and 2010’s Live From B.B. King’s. By the early ’90s he was the top blues act in Cincinnati. But when he played his first gigs in Nashville 18 years ago, he knew he’d found his musical home

Nearly two decades later, Mitchhart’s name is still synonymous with “blues” in the most rapidly growing city along the Cumberland River and he’s still playing 200 of his annual dates without leaving home.

Born in Kentucky and raised in Wake Forest, NC, Blake Wood draws from personal experiences to shape the songs he writes and sings. His current single, “Country Down,” is an anthem for rural America that perfectly captures those that might be looked down on inside of a big, fast, hustle-and-bustle city but just so happens to fit perfectly in a small town. Starting with the line "Ain’t got a clue what I would even do if I landed these boots in a 4-lane city," Blake reflects on growing up in the country and the things that are second nature to people with a similar upbringing.
