Still “Comin’ Right At Ya!” - Celebrating 50 Years of Asleep at the WheelThe number of individual artists and bands who have sustained a thriving career for a half century is  infinitesimally small.  Against all odds, Asleep At the Wheel is one of these. The stars aligned in 1970 when three friends Ray Benson, Lucky Oceans and Leroy Preston moved to Paw Paw, West Virginia (it’s not a made-up place, you can look it up).  It was there that their dream of forming a band began after a mutual friend gave them access to his uncle’s cabin on an apple orchard just outside of town.  The three friends began to – quite literally -- woodshed and found others who would join them in their mission to play old style Roots/Americana music. This was long before the genre/movement even had a name.  After a trip to the outhouse, Lucky lived up to his name and suggested the band be called Asleep at the Wheel and so it was to be for the next 50 years.

Since inception, Asleep at the Wheel has been received 10 GRAMMY® Awards, was cited by the Country Music Association as 1976 Touring Band of the Year and were given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Americana Music Association in 2009. They have released 31 albums, charted more than 20 singles on the  country charts. Billboard commented on the band’s catalog most succinctly: “Everything this act has ever released is simply spectacular.
Most recently, Asleep at the Wheel has been invigorated by a fresh new lineup and the release of New Routes, their latest album that is a bracing blend of original songs and vibrant cover material along with some unanticipated new musical tangents.  Asleep At the Wheel have demonstrated convincingly, that they are more relevant, enjoyable and musically nimble than at any time in its 50-year history. The 6’7” Ray Benson has been the one constant in Asleep At the Wheel since 1970.  He notes, “I've been told that I'm relentless, so I guess I am….  I’m just doing what I believe I’m meant to do — I’m singing and playing and writing better than I ever have. My role and concept of leading a band has never changed, It’s gathering the best musicians I can find or convince to play to the best of their ability, and I just try and make the best decisions possible and kick some ass every night onstage. I’ve made it this far and don’t feel like I or the band will be slowing down anytime soon.”

With momentum still high following their fourth career #1, MULTI-PLATINUM

hitmakers ELI YOUNG BAND are releasing an introspective new single with “Break It In” via The Valory Music Co. Under producer Dann Huff, the tune explores lessons in life and love that are only learned over time well spent. As showcased through vivid Benjy Davis, Brandon Day, Daniel Ross, and Michael Whitworth-penned lyrics, EYB further delivers a booming chorus: “Like these dusty boots that walked me through / The work that got me here / And these faded jeans with Skoal can rings / I’ve worn out all these years / When the shine wears off, when you lose that gloss / There’s so much more underneath it all / You think that good is good as it can get / Then you break it in.”

“We definitely didn't just start a band and have instant success. We’ve continued to build it up over the years — we broke it in,” shares EYB. "We’ve been blessed to have had our moments of being able to sit back and soak it all in. ‘Break It In’ carries a message you learn with time, and we’re so excited for these lyrics to be heard far and wide!”

“Break It In” closely follows THIS IS ELI YOUNG BAND: GREATEST HITS, which features chart-toppers – “Love Ain’t,” PLATINUM "Drunk Last Night,” 2X PLATINUM “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” and 3X PLATINUM “Crazy Girl.” EYB has always been unique in modern Country music as a true band of brothers who cling fast to their Texas roots and has maintained an impressive trajectory with singles earning Billboard's

#1 Country Song of the Year and ACM Awards Song of the Year. They have previously earned multiple nominations from GRAMMY, CMA, CMT, ACA and Teen Choice Awards.

While selling out venues as a headliner from coast-to-coast, EYB has toured with Jason Aldean, Dave Matthews Band, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, and Darius Rucker. They will continue to bring these fan-favorites and more on the road this summer with several festival appearances. Over the last 18 years, Casey Donahew has risen from a favorite on the local Texas music scene, racking up 21 #1 singles, to a nationally hot touring act who consistently sells out venues all across the country.

Donahew has released eight independent albums to critical and commercial acclaim. Donahew’s STANDOFFquickly topped the iTunes Country Chart at #1, upon its release, and his follow-up album ALL NIGHT PARTY, out on August 19, 2016, immediately rocketed to #3 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart, #13 on the Top Album Sales Chart and Top Current Album Sales Chart and #40 on the Billboard 200 Chart. The project also took the #2 spot on the Internet Albums Chart and landed at #3 on the Independent Albums Chart. His 15th anniversary record titled 15 YEARS, THE WILD RIDE, a collection of Donahew’s most popular songs, and the ones that droves of fans sing night after night at his live concerts, was inspired by and became a gift for those fans who remain loyal in Donahew’s standing-room-only audiences.  His current album ONE LIGHT TOWN, garnered Donahew his latest #1 single, “Let’s Make A Love Song, which was the #1 most played independent song on country radio for 2019 and had BILLBOARD spouting upon its release “…’Let’s Make A Love Song’ has radio written all over it”.

“That was my mission on this album: To really set these songs up so that they have a life of their own,” says Samantha Fish about Kill or Be Kind, her sixth solo album and her debut on Rounder Records. “Strong messages from the heart – that’s what I really set out for.” Indeed, what comes across immediately on hearing the album is the extraordinary level of songcraft on its eleven tracks, the way these songs are so smartly put together to deliver a potent emotional impact.

Anyone who have ever heard Fish’s previous albums knows that she has earned a place in the top rank of contemporary blues guitarists and that her voice can wring the soul out of a ballad and belt out a rocker with roof-shaking force. And, rest reassured, those virtues are fully in evidence on Kill or Be Kind. But each of the songs on the album does far more than simply provide a setting for Fish’s pyrotechnics. They tell captivating stories, set up by verses that deftly set the scene, choruses that lift with real feeling, and hooks that later rise up in your thoughts, even when you’re not aware that you’re thinking of music at all. It’s the kind of songwriting that emerges when raw talent is leavened by experience and aspiration, and when a committed artist genuinely has something to say. Those qualities make Kill or Be Kind a genuine artistic breakthrough for Fish.

“I think I’ve grown as a performer and as a player,” she explains. “I’ve become more respectful of the melody. You can go up and down the fret board and up and down your vocal register, but that’s not going to be as powerful as conveying a simple melody that people can really connect to and sing themselves.” To help bring those elements to her music, Fish sought out high-quality songwriting collaborators – the likes of Jim McCormick (who has worked with Fish before and also written for Luke Bryan and Keith Urban); Kate Pearlman (who has worked with Kelly Clarkson); Patrick Sweeney; Parker Millsap; and Eric McFadden. The result is an album on which each song is distinct, but the complete work hangs together as a coherent, entirely satisfying statement. “When you get to this point in your life as an artist,” Fish says, “it’s good to work with others, because it makes you stretch. I think you hear a lot of that nuance on the record, songs that have a pop sensibility to them, hooks that really pull you in.”

Twenty years and some 4,000 shows into his career, the name Wade Bowen has become synonymous with Texas country music – and for good reason. An artistic descendant of American icons like Guy Clark, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Robert Earl Keen and more, Bowen is another link in a Texan chain of roots-rock poets stretching back more than 50 years – but his ambition never ended at the state line.
“I will carry that flag proudly,” Bowen says of his well earned Red-Dirt distinction. “But I’ve always said I’m not a ‘Texas artist,’ I’m an artist from Texas, and I think there’s a difference.” Indeed, Bowen has showed the world that difference since 2001 – by going big on integrity.
Seen as one of the genre’s finest and most authentic modern voices, Bowen’s approach stays rooted in tradition, but also stands on the creative cutting edge. His focus remains on writing unique songs with a literary quality, and shifting his sonic territory to match his life. And while the hard-touring troubadour is constantly breaking new ground, his course was set early on.
Born in Waco and schooled in the clubs surrounding Lubbock’s Texas Tech University, Bowen was raised on a steady diet of hardscrabble country realism and rock showmanship. His mother loved Elvis, the Eagles and Creedence Clearwater Revival, while his father spun Texan giants like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson. His first concert was a peak-theatrics Alabama show, but even then, it was the lyrics which spoke the loudest. He began writing poems and short stories as a boy, drawn to the page with a can’t-help-it creative spark. And then in college, the songs came.
“Writing songs is just something you have to get out of you, it’s something you have to do,” he says. “I think it’s the same reason firefighters run into a burning house to save someone, it’s a calling. You can’t really be taught, you just have to have that instinct.”
Bowen soon claimed his place as West 84’s front man, then went solo and found a home in now-iconic haunts like Stubb’s Barbecue and The Blue Light. He arrived amid a literal explosion of Texas country artists. But combining all his influence together, always stood out.
Wielding a knack for direct, poetic songwriting that never panders, Bowen slices through the B.S. of country-lifestyle posturing, and matches his gravel-road growl to a sound spanning the whole of Texas. From swaying campfire singalongs with all the mystery of a windblown West Texas sunset, to two-stepping country rockers geared toward Saturday nights in the state’s famed dancehalls, he’s earned a rep for purpose-driven diversity. And just like his heroes, does everything on his terms.

POP EVIL is the bridge between life-affirming hard rock hit-making and the burgeoning new

frontier of genre-bending postmodern playlists. A crowd-pleasing band unafraid to embrace the

heaviest and most melodic ends of the spectrum, with a seemingly endless stream of No. 1 hits

veering between fist-pumping anthems and timeless power ballads. POP EVIL delivers their

most ambitious rebirth yet with a jaw-dropping sixth album.

“Let the Chaos Reign” and “Work” arrive as a twin assault of invigorating ready-made hits for

2020, from an album filled to the brim with a dozen tracks each worthy of a dedicated spotlight.

“Let the Chaos Reign” is the heaviest single the band has ever dropped, a rousing fight song of

self-determination and rising to meet any challenge with courage and strength. By contrast,

“Work” puts its heavy guitars atop grooving rhythmic punch and EDM flourishes, as it champions

the working-class heroes struggling to persevere across all industries today.

“We won’t bore people with the same song over and over,” assures charismatic frontman and

bandleader Leigh Kakaty, who co-founded the band in Michigan. “When you come to our live

show, we feel like there should be an ebb and flow, peaks and valleys, that are similar to real

life. Sometimes you’re up, sometimes you’re down. We like to take people on a journey when

they listen to our music or come to see us live.”

Pop Evil has been a staple at major festivals and in theaters and clubs for nearly two decades,

despite the group’s relative youth. As they’ve ruled the roost with No. 1 Billboard Rock singles

like “Trenches”, “Deal with the Devil”, “Torn to Pieces”, “Footsteps”, and “Waking Lions”, they’ve

taken their inspired message to the people, on tours with modern rock titans and veteran acts

alike.

One listen to any of the songs from the impressive body of work laid down by the band on

Lipstick on the Mirror (2008), War of Angels (2011), Onyx (2013), Up (2015), and the self-titled

smash Pop Evil (2018) confirms exactly how Pop Evil built such a diverse fanbase.

On their go-for-broke sixth album, the group doubles down on the yin-and-yang at the heart of

their sound. There’s no other band that bounces between a song like “Waking Lions” and “A

Crime to Remember” or “100 in a 55” so effectively and with such overwhelming success.

Kolby Cooper lost his childhood and found his voice.
Cooper was 14 when cancer took his dad, and he channeled that painful loss into songwriting. He was 18 with the responsibility of a wife and baby on his shoulders when he used his high school graduation money to record an EP. And now, barely old enough to buy a round for the band,
Cooper is pouring his signature blend of scorching break-up anthems and gut-wrenchingly relatable songs into a new record for BBR Music Group.
Far from the typical music industry inroads, Cooper has been riding the fast track from a small Texas town driven by necessity and inspired by his father’s working-class principles. “Losing my dad and then becoming a dad made me think, ‘This just can’t be a fun thing.’ I mean, it’s fun – but it has to be a job too,” Cooper said with candor. “I have to work my ass off. I’m not just trying to pay rent.”
In three short years, Cooper has accomplished what has eluded seasoned Nashville insiders amassing more than 110 million Spotify streams and playing numerous, sold-out show around the country, with thousands of fans singing along to his searing, wry lyrics. Drawn to his unrestrained, fresh sound, Cooper is earning early praise for his rough-hewn velvet vocals, layered over wailing electric guitar, and a buoyant Texas bottom-end. His new record is Country with clear influences from his Lonestar State roots. The result “is authentic to me,” said the humble outlier. “I’m older and understanding more about myself, and the music, and what I want to say. This is exactly what I set out to sound like.”
At 22, he is coming into his own as a master storyteller and an angry advocate for the heartsick as he writes each of his songs— from the deeply personal “Boy from Anderson County,” an autobiographical look at how love can propel a boy into becoming a better man, to “Good For
You,” a sneering, steel-guitar slice of resentment, and the dreaded “it’s not you, it’s me” pathos of “Excuses,” which was inspired by his guitar player’s sudden breakup. Cooper is refreshingly kind and happy for someone who can readily tap into rage and angst. He embodies and moves confidently between contradictions from the defiant to the forlorn. “People ask me, ‘Why do you write these breakup songs? You must have a bad past with exes,’” he said laughing. “I’ve been dating my wife since we were seniors in high school. I write from the perspective of what I see – a lot of tough relationships in a small town that I witnessed firsthand.”
Cooper still lives near Bradford – population 30 – an unincorporated farming community where he grew up playing football (right and defensive tackle) and video games with a close-knit group of friends. But when it came to music, Cooper’s father was his most meaningful musical influencer.

A love for SUBwoofers and elecTRONICS has brought us Subtronics. Growing up in Philadelphia, PA, Jesse Kardon
aka Subtronics had a passion for his drum set and Radiohead. While in high school, he discovered dubstep and
became enamored with the scene. Having never heard this style of music before, Jesse was inspired to jump into
the world of production, learning the basics via tutorial videos. Fusing his unique blend of cutting-edge sound design
with hard-hitting bass, Subtronics seeks to push the envelope. On the live front, he has built a rabid following with
his high energy sets and advanced mixing skills.
When his national sell-out Cyclops Invasion Tour was cut short due to the global pandemic in 2020, Subtronics
jumped into the world of livestreaming and became an official Twitch Partner on the platform. Throughout the
summer and fall, he pioneered safe, socially distanced Drive-In and Pod events with a 35+ date sell-out run. In
September, he dropped an exclusive Sample Pack on Splice and went on to launch his own record label, Cyclops
Recordings, in December.
Cyclops Recordings is home to his last four EPs, as well as the inaugural ‘Boot Camp’ label compilation, featuring
tracks from Subtronics himself in addition to the next generation of producers. He has additional releases with Ultra
Music, Never Say Die, SubCarbon, Deadbeats and Kannibalen. Augmenting his own deep catalogue, Subtronics
has collabs with Excision, Slander, Boogie T, Ganja White Night and KAYZO, just to name a few. His track
“Griztronics”, co-produced with notable bass act GRiZ, peaked at number nine on the Billboard Dance Charts in
2019 and has over 1 billion video creations on TikTok.
Subtronics has graced festival stages such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Bass Canyon, Electric Zoo,
Lost Lands, and Camp Bisco, along with many more. He has headlined sold-out events at venues such as Aragon
Theatre, Hollywood Palladium, Echostage, MTelus, and the Tabernacle. Subtronics’ had the honor of being chosen
as the first full capacity event at Red Rocks in 2021 which sold out in two days. The event, Cyclops Rocks, a curated
event by Subtronics and the next takes place in Florida called Cyclops Cove in December of 2021.
Presently, Subtronics is preparing to embark on his massive FRACTAL TOUR across the United States and Canada
in 2022.
When not producing “angry robot noises,” you can find Subtronics spinning poi and playing kendama, taking dabs,

JACKYL

It's an incredible accomplishment when a rock band has been successful enough to reach the 25-year mark since the release of their first album. And this year, rowdy southern rockers Jackyl have accomplished this feat, and are celebrating with an appropriately-titled compilation, '25,' which drops July 28 via Mighty Loud Records. The 18-track set (which can be preordered via the band's official site, jackyl.com) features such Jackyl radio hits as "Down on Me," "The Lumberjack," "Push Comes to Shove," and "Favorite Sin," as well as two previously unreleased tracks - a live rendition of "Redneck Punk," as well as a cover of Black Oak Arkansas' "Hot and Nasty." "At the time we first hit the scene, we were told by quite a few interviewers and fans that we sounded like a cross between Black Oak Arkansas and AC/DC," explains Jackyl. "While we was very familiar with AC/DC, we were not with BOA. We went back and listened, and were blown away - so much so, that we recorded a cover of one of their most kick ass tunes, 'Hot and Nasty,' which is now finally getting its release on this comp." First bursting upon the scene with their self-titled, platinum-certified debut album in 1992, Jackyl has made a name for themselves as a killer live band that delivers night after night, and has continued to offer up good old fashioned blues boogie over the years, as evidenced on such subsequent albums as 1994's gold-certified 'Push Comes to Shove,' all the way to their most recent release, 2016's 'ROWYCO.' "Its not about coming to see a Jackyl show, its about coming to be a part of it," Says Jesse Dupree. "Every show becomes a family reunion."

Since their formation in Massachusetts during 1998, All That Remains have built an undeniable legacy upheld by airtight songcraft, knifepoint precise metallic instrumentation, and stadium-size hard rock hooks. As a result, they’ve outlasted trials, tribula- tions, and trends to stand tall as as one of this century’s most consistent purveyors of heavy music with a bulletproof canon of arena-worthy anthems. All That Remains’ discography is highlighted by success at Active Rock including radio hits in the top 10 such as “Two Weeks,” “What If I Was Nothing,” and their first number one “Stand Up,”. Averaging 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify (an unprecedented feat for a metal band in any era), while cumulative sales eclipse 1 million albums worldwide. Not to mention, they’ve earned five consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart and four in the Top 5. Most recently, 2017’s Madness spawned the smash cover of Garth Brooks’ “The Thunder Rolls,” which trended on VEVO and generated 21 million plus total views and 8 million Spotify streams in under a year’s time. In addition to packing houses as a headliner, they’ve practically burned down festival stages everywhere from Rock on the Range to Welcome to Rockville. In 2018, the quintet—Philip Labonte [lead vocals], Oli Herbert [lead guitar], Mike Martin [rhythm guitar], Jason Costa [drums], and Aaron Patrick [bass, backing vocals]— perfect their patented pummeling by wasting no time or energy at all on their ninth full-length album, Victim of the New Disease [Fearless Records]. — Rick Florino, September 2018

Since the release of Kingfish, his Grammy-nominated 2019 Alligator Records debut, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Christone “Kingfish” Ingram has quickly become the defining blues voice of his generation. From his hometown of Clarksdale, Mississippi to stages around the world, the now 22-year-old has already headlined two national tours and performed with friends including Vampire Weekend, Jason Isbell and Buddy Guy (with whom he appeared on Austin City Limits). He was interviewed by Sir Elton John on his Apple Music podcast, Rocket Hour, and recently released a duet with Bootsy Collins. In January 2021, Ingram was simultaneously on the covers of both Guitar World and DownBeat magazines, and graced the cover of Living Blues in late 2020. Rolling Stone declared, “Kingfish is one of the most exciting young guitarists in years, with a sound that encompasses B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix and Prince.” In the two years since Kingfish was released, there have been major events that have altered his life both personally and professionally. “There has been much change, happiness and despair in my life,” Ingram says of his last two years. Right as his career was taking off, he lost his mother and biggest champion, the late Princess Pride Ingram. Christone toured for 13 months non-stop, until the pandemic halted live performances and forced him to take stock. As he was thinking about the man he was becoming and the new directions his life was taking, he began writing songs for his next album, 662. The number 662 is the telephone area code for Ingram’s northern Mississippi home, and it first came into use the same year he was born—1999. “The world was introduced to me with Kingfish,” Ingram says of his chart-topping debut. “Now with 662, I want the world to hear and meet a different, more personal side of me.” The album—recorded in Nashville and co-written and produced (as was Kingfish) by Grammy-winner Tom Hambridge—features 13 songs displaying many sides of Ingram’s dynamic personality, as well as his one-of-a-kind guitar and vocal skills. According to Ingram, “662 is a direct reflection of my growth as a musician, a songwriter, a bandleader, and as a young man. This album was written during the pandemic, shortly after I returned home from a whirlwind year and a half of touring and promoting Kingfish. It was an incredible time of change and growth, moments both good and bad, and I am a better and stronger person for it.” 662 is the next chapter in the still-unfolding story of Christone “Kingfish” Ingram. He describes 662 as his own personal journey, a story that sits upon the legacy of his influential blues elders. The songs—reflecting his life in and away from his home in the Delta— speak to universal truths, as well as to similar experiences shared by his large and growing multi-generational, multi-cultural fan base. From the blistering, hometown title track, 662, to the irresistible She Calls Me Kingfish to the slow, soulful and poignant Another Life Goes By to the funky truth-telling Too Young To Remember, 662 overflows with hard-hitting songs, jaw-dropping guitar work and deep, soul-possessed vocals.

Killer Queen formed back in June 1993. Their first public shows were at London University, following in the footsteps of the real Queen who had played their first shows there 21 years earlier.

By 1995 Killer Queen's UK popularity had grown to such an extent they secured a residency in London's Strand Theatre attracting nationwide BBC coverage - the first tribute to have a show in the West End .

The band's reputation continued to grow both in the UK and abroad. In 1999 they returned from a tour of and Europe and Russia for an awards ceremony in Leicester Square, hosted by Suggs from Madness. He announced they had won the award for “Worldwide Best Tribute Band”

The band also scored a number one hit when they they were asked to recreate Queen's harmionies for “The Real Life” with Fatboy Slim in 2001.

Killer Queen toured into their second decade, the audiences grew. In 2005 they played AhoyStadium, where the reformed Queen would be performing only a few months later.

The next year Killer Queen joined forces with Bjorn Again and The Bootleg Beatles for a Waverly Stadium show in Edinburgh. It was this performance that led to the band being selected to represent Queen in a re-staged tribute Live-Aid concert held by Sir Bob Geldof. They performed with him at his arena charity concert to raise funds for the homeless.

2009 saw a triumphant return to a sold out Ahoy stadium with their acclaimed “Queen Spectacular”production and another award, this time from Sweden's Vasteras concert hall “Best Concert of The Year 2009”.

2013 saw them performing in another one of Queen's former venues, The Brighton Centre, to celebrate their 20th Anniversary.

In 2016 Killer Queen took the show to America at The Red Rocks Arena in Colorado – one of the countries most prestigious venues – The Beatles, Springsteen, U2 have all played there. Family Arena's and prestige venues such as Austin City Limits are now regular stops on the Killer Queen USA itinerary.

2019 - and the band are in high demand all over the world, filling Nottingham Motorpoint Arena in the UK - a year after Queen and Adam Lambert played there .This year also sees an epic 10 week tour of the States - the show must go on...

"Napoleon Dynamite" was made almost 15 years ago. Since then much has changed; but the characters, as enduring as they are endearing, stay in our hearts. Appealing to the inner-teenager in each of us, the story, and more importantly the dialogue, makes "Napoleon Dynamite" one of the most quoted movies of our time. Napoleon Dynamite makes us laugh - and laugh hard - over and over again. This unique evening includes a full screening of "Napoleon Dynamite" followed by a lively, freewheeling, moderated discussion with fan-favorite cast members; Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Efren Ramirez (Pedro) and Jon Gries (Uncle Rico)
