Lauded by The New York Times as "an alluringly flexible singer, fluent in classic country, blues and Southern rock, with a voice that moves easily from tender to tough," Ashley McBryde's GRAMMY-nominated Girl Going Nowhere (released March 30, 2018 on Atlantic Records/Warner Nashville) earned the Arkansas native critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Variety and more with The Washington Post raving, "McBryde's blue-collar storytelling and straightforward singing set her apart." The seminal title track on the Jay Joyce-produced LP continues to propel McBryde's career to great heights with recognition this year by the Academy of Country Music as New Female Artist of the Year, CMT's Breakthrough Video of the Year and CMA New Artist of the Year.

With a legendary career spanning more than four decades, KANSAS has firmly established itself as one of America's iconic classic rock bands. This "garage band" from Topeka released their debut album in 1974 after being discovered by Wally Gold, who worked for Don Kirshner, and have gone on to sell more than 30 million albums worldwide.

Composing a catalogue that includes fifteen studio albums and five live albums, KANSAS has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-Platinum albums (Leftoverture, Point of Know Return, Best of KANSAS), one platinum live album (Two for the Show), and two one million-selling gold singles, 'Carry On Wayward Son' and 'Dust in the Wind.' KANSAS appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the '70's and
'80's and played to sold-out arenas and stadiums throughout North America, Europe and Japan. 'Carry On Wayward Son' continues to be one of the top five most played songs on classic rock radio, and 'Dust In the Wind' has been played on the radio more than three million times!

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
"If you like guitar playing, it simply doesn't get any better than Tommy." - Jason Isbell

Tommy Emmanuel has achieved enough musical milestones to satisfy several lifetimes. Or at least they would if he was the kind of artist who was ever satisfied. At the age of six, he was touring regional Australia with his family band. By 30, he was a rock n' roll lead guitarist burning up stadiums in Europe. At 44, he became one of five people ever named a Certified Guitar Player by his idol, music icon Chet Atkins. Today, he plays hundreds
of sold-out shows every year from Nashville to Sydney to London. All the while, Tommy has hungered for what's next. When you're widely acknowledged as the international master of the solo acoustic guitar, what's next is Accomplice One, an album of collaborations with some of the finest singers, songwriters and, yes, guitarists alive today - a list including Jason Isbell, Mark Knopfler, Rodney Crowell, Jerry Douglas,
Amanda Shires, Ricky Skaggs, J.D. Simo, David Grisman, Bryan Sutton, Suzy
Bogguss and many more.

Since he and his brother Phil taught themselves to play as toddlers, the guitar has been Tommy's real first language-and he's more articulate on his signature Melbourne-made Maton acoustics than most people are with words. Influenced by the Merle Travis/Chet Atkins fingerstyle of guitar picking, Tommy developed a style of solo guitar playing that encompasses the range of a whole band- covering drums, bass, rhythm and lead guitar and a vocal melody simultaneously. No loop pedals, no overdubs, just one man and ten fingers. While some artists take ten-piece bands on the road and still fill out the sound with backing tracks, Tommy builds a complete sonic world entirely on his own.

Since 1975, they've sold over 15 million albums, built a classic catalog of hits, and played more than 8,000 ferocious live shows. They broke records with their 50 Dates/50 States tour, delivered landmark performances at Live Aid and on SNL, and became mainstays of radio, MTV and stages worldwide for more than two generations. Through it all, they've remained one of the most consistent - and consistently passionate - progenitors of blues-based rock in pop culture history.

For the past 45 years, it's been very good to be George Thorogood & The Destroyers. And in 2019, their Good To Be Bad Tour: 45 Years Of Rock will prove why like never before.

"If you're content, you may as well be dead." George laughs with his familiar rasp. "I think everyone has thoughts about retiring, but the phone keeps ringing. You want me and The Destroyers to come to your town, set up our gear, wear some badass clothes and play 'Who Do You Love?' End of conversation. Let's rock!"

Jake Owen
Down To The Tiki Tonk
Acoustic Tour

Before becoming a country music sensation, Florida-born Joshua "Jake" Owen dreamed of becoming a professional golfer until a wakeboarding incident led to reconstructive surgery and left Owen unable to keep playing. He borrowed a neighbor's guitar and began teaching himself to play, eventually playing country covers in bars before writing his own material and moving to Nashville. There he met producer Jimmy Ritchey and eventually executives at Sony BMG, who signed him to RCA Records and put out his debut album Startin' with Me in 2006, producing the single "Yee Haw." Owen toured in support of Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, and excited ticket holders with his baritone voice and lively tunes. He also opened for Kenny Chesney, Sugarland and Keith Urban. His second album Easy Does It in 2009 and spawned three more singles, "Don't Think I Can't Love You," "Eight Second Ride," and "Tell Me." In 2011, Owen's third album Barefoot Blue Jean Night was released, and both the title track and single "Alone with You" hit No. 1 on the country charts. 2013 saw a US concert stretch with Jason Aldean and his newest single "Days of Gold," which precedes his fourth studio album of the same name due out in December.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Originating from Gainesville, FL, Sister Hazel is comprised of five gifted, seasoned musicians whose well-spring of natural talent has been called "one of the Top 100 Most Influential Independent Performers of the last 15 years" by Performing Songwriter Magazine. Song "All for You" topped the adult alternative charts during the summer of 1997 and the success propelled their album to platinum status.

In their first showing on the country music charts they made a strong debut with "Lighter In The Dark" at #4 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, #6 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart, #30 on Billboard's Top Current Albums chart and #79 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The band landed on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart again in 2018 and 2019 with the Volumes I, II, and III of a collectible compilation series titled "Elements." In February 2018, "Water," landed on the Billboard Country Albums chart at #9 and at #2 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart along with making their debut on the most revered stage in country music, the Grand Ole Opry.

In September of 2018, "Wind" landed at #1 on iTunes country page and #11 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart. In February 2019, Vol. III "Fire" landed at #5 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart and #46 Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart. The collectible compilation series will end with "Earth" to be released in September 2019.

Living up to their fan-centered reputation, the band hosts annual events like "Hazelnut Hang," that focuses on fan involvement and was a pioneer in themed cruise experiences by co-founding "The Rock Boat," a cruise featuring nonstop opportunities for fan/artist interaction. Sister Hazel has been equally attentive to connecting with their audience through social media. They have since made their Grand Ole Opry debut and shared the stages with country music superstars at The CMA Festival, Tortuga Music Festival, among others. In addition to the events and touring, the band also gives back with "Lyrics For Life." Founded by singer Ken Block and the Band, the charity unites musicians and celebrities for concerts and auctions to benefit cancer research and patient-care charities.

BRIAN CULBERTSON
The XX Tour
Over the course of crafting a 20-album catalogue and architecting more than 30 Billboard No. 1 singles as a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer, Brian Culbertson has charted his own unique course in music. Label him jazz and he makes a funk record. Call him an R&B artist and he drops an acoustic jazz trio collection. Brand him pop and he creates a 32-minute New Age opus. And you'd be hard pressed to name another instrumentalist of his ilk who can mount an elaborately designed concert production that will keep him on the road for three consecutive months.
Culbertson burst onto the scene in 1994 with a chart-topping album that he recorded in his college apartment featuring keyboard-led contemporary jazz tracks. "Long Night Out" landed him a lengthy record deal and signaled that a star was born.
Flash forward to present day, his aptly titled "XX" album - those X's are Roman numerals - finds Culbertson making a record unlike any of his previous releases because of its diversity.

IT’S OUR TIME!

Symphony Orchestra Augusta welcomes you to the Miller Theater – a beautiful new home for music.

After a renovation project spanning more than seven years, the historic Miller Theater, which originally served Augusta as a vaudeville and movie palace from 1940 to 1984, will reopen on January 6, 2018. Expect diverse offerings that will engage, entertain and educate.

Love, attention to detail and generosity have fueled this comprehensive restoration project which reanimates the original glory of the Art Moderne stylings of the iconic theater and combines it with contemporary technology and amenities.

We invite you to become part of the continuing history of the Miller Theater.
