The Cabot Presents: Tommy Emmanuel w/ opener Andy McKee

  October 3, 2021 8:00 PM

Widely acknowledged as the international master of the solo acoustic guitar, Tommy Emmanuel has achieved enough musical milestones to satisfy several lifetimes. This show will feature his singular style of solo guitar playing that encompasses the range of a whole band, covering drums, bass, rhythm and lead guitar, and a vocal melody simultaneously. There are no loop pedals or overdubs, just one man and 10 fingers.

Andy McKee is one of the world’s finest acoustic guitarists. He entertains both the eye and the ear as he transforms the steel string guitar into a full orchestra using altered tunings, tapping, partial capos, percussive hits, and a signature two-handed technique. McKee’s crossover success has resulted in millions of YouTube views, making him one of today’s most influential artists.
