The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari with Tetra String Quartet
The Friends of the Orpheum Theatre presents the classic 1920 silent horror film The Cabinet of Dr Caligari featuring a live performance by Tetra String Quartet.
Billed as “The Strangest Film in the World”, The Cabinet of Dr Caligari tells the story of two friends, Francis (Friedrich Feher) and Alan (Rudolf Lettinger), who
encounter the Dr. Caligari (Werner Krauss) while at a carnival. The men see Caligari showing off his somnambulist, Cesare (Conrad Veidt), a hypnotized man
who the doctor claims can see into the future. Shockingly, Cesare then predicts Alan's death, and by morning his chilling prophecy has come true -- making
Cesare the prime suspect. But is Cesare guilty, or is the doctor controlling him?
Tetra String Quartet “plays with purpose” by presenting thought-provoking concert programs designed to engage and inspire audiences from all walks of life.
