    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION


    The 5-piece All-Star ensemble quickly gained a reputation for flipping the "Tribute Band" script on its head, with exploratory performances of iconic and deep cut Pink Floyd classics, David Gilmour-centric and solo compositions, and pulling other surprise classic rock masterpieces out of their hats. Their version of Kate Bush’s "Running Up That Hill" appeared in their sets weeks ahead of its Stranger Things-buoyed resurgence to the top of the charts...making the band appear spookily prescient.

     

    Starting from the heart of Pink Floyd’s musical structure, these superstars allow each other to soar in collaborative improvisation to deeply express the soul of this profound music. These lifelong, stadium musicians add a new, authentic edge to the virtuosic impact of the compositions, better than a mere tribute band. Floyd fanatics throughout North America have been amazed at the agility of these sincerely dedicated and venerable artists as they dove deeply into a catalogue of hits, deep tracks and astonishing covers.

     

    Their original multimedia "Floydian" spectacle eschewed poaching Floyd/Gilmour production assets and imagery, relying instead on visuals created by acclaimed LD Hans Shoop (Blondie, Todd Rundgren) and quadraphonic sound design and special audio FX by The Duke of New York (producer of Paul Simon’s Graceland - The Remixes). Each show was live streamed, modernizing a page from Grateful Dead’s nihilist marketing playbook, making the performances available for free around the world for those unable to attend due to Covid concerns, or just unable to attend by being on the other side of the planet.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

    Hailed by The Washington Post as “one of Nashville’s finest song interpreters,” Kathy Mattea has enjoyed much success and acclaim during her 40-year career in Country, Bluegrass and Folk music, including 2 Grammy wins, 4 CMA Awards, 4 #1 country singles, and five gold albums (plus a platinum Greatest Hits collection). Her latest album is Pretty Bird, produced by her old friend, roots music wizard Tim O’Brien. The wide-ranging collection of songs chronicles a period of rededication to singing, digging back in with a vocal coach and emerging with a poignant and eclectic CD. In addition to creating and recording music and performing live on tour, Kathy is increasingly involved with public broadcasting, consulting and contributing on screen in Ken Burns’ 2019 documentary for PBS, Country Music, and recently replacing founder Larry Groce as the host of the long-running NPR show Mountain Stage.

    Explore the depths of Americana ‘one trippy tune at a time’ with upstate New York’s Slambovian Circus of Dreams. Voted Chronogram Magazine’s “Best Band of 2022” for their rootsy rockin’ psychedelia, the Slambovians’ deep connection with audiences and exciting live shows are legendary. Dylan, Bowie, Incredible String Band, Syd Barrett and The Waterboys may flavor the musical mix, but the Slambovians’ musicianship and songwriting stand on its own.

    With vocals “soothing and bewitching as a snake oil tonic,” the resident shaman of Slambovia, lead singer Joziah Longo, is joined onstage by bandmates Tink Lloyd (accordion, cello, mandolin, flute) and the brilliant guitar-slinging and mandolin-playing skills of Sharkey McEwen, creating a show that constantly evolves “with a little help from their friends,” — RJ McCarty (keys, bass, sax), Bob Torsello (bass), and Matthew Abourezk (drums).

    Woodstock-tinged psychedelia, a hint of southern rock and solid songwriting elevates this version of Americana to new heights. The band’s latest studio release, A Very Unusual Head is considered to be "their finest work to date," according to the UK’s Rock’n’Reel Magazine. Recorded over four years in five studios and two countries, A Very Unusual Head is a kaleidoscope of songs. Opening their creative tent to notable performer friends: fellow New Yorker Dar Williams, Anthony Thistlethwaite (The Waterboys), and Kolson Pickard (producer Tall Heights, Pico Romanesque), the songs and musical escapades of the band make for a sonically beautiful, creative and adventurous album. Inspired by the surrealist painters and Dylan growing up in Philadelphia, Longo chronicles a bit of that journey honoring those who offer an intellectual/creative escape hatch needed to sort life’s big questions.

    Chris Ruggiero’s all new-show is the perfect kick-off to the summer, jam-packed with feel-good sun-drenched vibes and priceless musical memories!  If you remember songs like “California Dreamin’,” “My Girl,” “Groovin’” and “Wouldn’t it Be Nice,” you’ll be in the right place at the right time when Chris brings his “Summer Serenade” to the Sellersville Theater stage.

    You might know him from his PBS-TV performances, his appearance on Good Morning America or from one of his prior concerts here in Sellersville. Chris tells his incredible story by breathing new life into the timeless music of the 60s and 70s with his über-talented band - complete with a touch of live brass just like in the old days. Many of his unique arrangements have been crafted with the magic touch of Four Seasons arranger and pop-rock legend Charlie Calello (who is also a fan, commenting, "It's been a long time since I heard a voice like this.”)

    Named Comedian of the Year by the American Comedy Awards, Craig Shoemaker has won two Emmys, appeared on Broadway and has performed at every major comedy venue in the country. He made his debut on KYW-TV in his hometown of Philiadelphia, wrote and/or appeared in over 100 television shows and films including Parks & RecreationComedy Central PresentsThe ViewComic Relief, Showtime’s Comedy All-StarsHollywood Squares, his self-penned critically acclaimed indy release The Lovemaster, and his most recent Showtime special Daditude, plus released successful comedy CDs and DVDs.

    Craig also wrote children’s books, performed for four US Presidents, has a doctorate, and is even an ordained minister. His charity foundation LaughterHeals.org benefits those with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

    Andy Summers will be performing a series of solo concerts on the east coast in the United States. This is a continuation of Andy’s solo project, where he projects sequences of photography with music, shares readings from his books and has a conversation with the audience.

    Andy Summers has enthralled music fans with his unique talent since entering the music scene in the late 1960s. Since picking up a guitar at the age of thirteen, Andy has made his mark as an essential component of The Police, as a solo artist, and as a writer, photographer, composer, and producer. After the break-up of the Police in 1984, leaving a legacy as the number one band in the world for several years and one of the biggest selling bands of all time, Andy moved into his own career of nonstop creative output that has embraced many solo recordings, books, photo exhibitions, tours, film and composing. To date he has recorded fourteen solo albums.

    His works include Throb, Light Strings, Desirer Walks the Street, I’ll Be Watching You: Inside the Police, and A Certain Strangeness. Along with these published editions, Andy has held around fifty exhibitions across the world.

    Andy is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Guitar Player Hall of Fame, has the keys to New York City and has been awarded the Chevalier De L’Ordre Des Arts et Des Lettres by the Ministry of Culture in France.

    Sal “The Voice” Valentinetti, Heidi Klum’s unforgettable 2016 Golden Buzzer recipient and finalist of America’s Got Talent, is an Italian-American crooner known best for his flawless vocals, larger than life personality, and his heart of gold. From a very young age Sal was influenced by his grandmother to love the musical genius of the classic crooner sounds of Dean Martin, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra.


    At the young age of fifteen Sal realized the hidden talent he possessed and began performing his flawless tribute to the great Frank Sinatra across New York.     Dana Fuchs is one of the fiercest voices in modern-day roots music. She's equal parts soul singer and bluesy belter, funneling her own story into the amplified anthems and haunting ballads that fill albums like “Bliss Avenue” and “Love Lives On.” With her newest project, “Borrowed Time,” she digs deep into her southern rock upbringing, saluting the loud, guitar-driven sounds that sound-tracked her childhood years in rural Wildwood, Florida. 

     

    The new album gazes outward, replacing the autobiographical spirit of previous records with tracks that follow other characters' paths. To find a musical backdrop for those stories about beauty, suffering, and humanity, Fuchs let go of the reins and hired an outside producer for the first time. She found a "walking encyclopedia of all genres of music" in producer Bobby Harlow, who encouraged her to focus not on the genre-bending mix of influences that permeated her earlier work, but on the rock & roll that first captivated her attention back in the Bible Belt. 

     

    In addition to fronting her own blues rock band, Dana Fuchs portrayed Janis Joplin on Broadway in 'Love, Janis' and Sadie in the highly acclaimed film 'Across the Universe.' She's a Jagger blues jammer, Otis soul sister, juke joint Janis and Sexy Sadie all rolled into one passionate performer and world class singer songwriter.     For more than 50 years, Nektar has taken legions of fans on audio-visual journeys to far reaches of the universe and the depths of the ocean with their immersive blend of sight and sound. Nektar has captured the imagination and admiration of listeners the world over with their multi-media concerts, melding a jam-band vibe with superb musicality and a visual cornucopia that perfectly complements the performance. A Nektar show is an unparalleled feast for the senses.

     

    Formed in Germany in 1969 by British expats, Nektar soaked up the musical freedom they found in their new home, favoring extended compositions and concept albums over the constraints of pop. They were among the progenitors of the progressive rock movement of the 1970s as well as the jam-band scene that arose in the late 1990s. Their sound traveled well to the States, where they enjoyed Top 40 success with “A Tab in the Ocean” (1972) and “Remember the Future” (1973). Nearly 20 albums and a half-century later, the band’s artistic and personal charisma has earned them masses of devoted fans.

    Meghan Parnell and Dave Barnes are the driving force behind Bywater Call, a powerhouse 7-piece Southern Soul, Roots Rock band out of Toronto, Canada. Born out of a love for southern soul, blues and roots music and a passion to create a powerful and moving experience for listeners, Bywater Call is completed by Bruce McCarthy on drums, Mike Meusel on Bass, John Kervin on Keys, Stephen Dyte on Trumpet and Julian Nalli on Tenor Sax.


    The band’s music is an exploration of life’s highs and lows. From intimate ballads that lay bare the complexities of human emotion to electrifying anthems that demand to be played at full volume, their catalogue is a journey through the human experience, incorporating influences from the likes of The Band, The Wood Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Otis Redding, Little Feat, Sly and the Family Stone, among others.

     

    Since Bywater Call was formed in 2017, they have been Maple Blues and Independent Blues Award nominated and have made waves in the Canadian Festival Circuit. The band has also had the opportunity to extensively tour Europe, featuring a mainstage appearance at the Netherlands’ premiere blues festival MOULIN BLUES. Performances there have been praised in Dutch and German media, with references to Meghan as one of the best singers in blues and roots today.

    Bywater Call saw the release of their debut album in November, 2019 in Canada, USA, Europe and Australia. Bywater’s much anticipated sophomore album was released September 2, 2022. For those who have been following the band, an evolution in sound and concept can be heard with this new chapter. And yet, the core values of raw emotion, strong musicianship and the aim to create an exciting, powerful, and moving experience for listeners remains ever present.

    Michael Palascak is a comedian who grew up in Indiana and now lives in LA. He performed on both The Late Late Show with James Corden and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the same year. He has over 1 million views on YouTube. In addition, his resume includes A Little Late with Lilly Singh, The Tonight Show, Letterman, Craig FergusonConan, has a Comedy Central Half Hour special, and was a Top 5 Finalist on Last Comic Standing where one judge claimed, “My first impression of Michael was a great likability. This is a guy that could star in a sitcom.” Michael’s likability allows him to relate to his audiences in a real way which sets up the huge laughs he gets from his sharp, personal material.

    Consistently writing and performing, last summer Michael released both a new album - The Internet Live through 800 Pound Gorilla and a new stand-up special on the Dry Bar app - 1984. Both are available for free streaming. Drew Hunt of The Chicago Reader wrote about Michael, “In a lot of ways, he represents the ideal antidote to the sort of unbridled cynicism that pervades much of contemporary stand-up.” Michael’s optimism continues in the new National Lampoon series, The Bright Side, where he takes a positive stance on a negative topic streaming on YouTube.

The country-music folks adore the storytelling, the bluegrass-heads love the instrumentals, Celtic fans love their devotion to tradition, and the rockers simply relish the passion they play their instruments with. Each band member, in their own way, expresses a deep gratitude for their fans, but it’s best summed up in the words of founding member Patrick Murphy: “The fans are the ones that have given us this life. We’re here for them.”

    Gaelic Storm takes a true blue-collar, hard-nose approach to touring, consistently traveling the US and internationally over 200 days a year, forging a unique path in the Celtic music world. The dedication to live shows dates all the way back to the mid-1990s, when Gaelic Storm kicked off its career as a pub band in Santa Monica, California. Due to their discovery at the pub, by the end of the decade, the musicians had appeared in the blockbuster film Titanic (where they performed “Irish Party in Third Class”). This laid the groundwork for a career that would eventually find them topping the Billboard World Chart six times, making appearances at mainstream music festivals, and regularly headlining the largest Irish Festivals across the country, all the while gaining a reputation as a genre-bending Irish rock band, whose songs mix Celtic traditions with something uniquely creative.

    Looking to the future, Gaelic Storm is excited about what lies ahead. In 2022, they were excited to welcome Natalya Kay, an incredible fiddler hailing from Western Massachusetts, but living now in Music City, Nashville, TN. Natalya's energy and presence on stage has been a force to be reckoned with.

Bonoff has enjoyed critical acclaim, commercial success, enduring popularity, and the unwavering respect of her peers. Karla has seen her songs become hits for Bonnie Raitt, Wynonna Judd, and Linda Ronstadt. Many of Bonoff’s ballads are classics. Her own hit, “Personally,” reached number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as number 3 on the Adult Contemporary chart in 1982. Karla has continued to record and tour extensively, playing sold-out shows around the world. Fans and critics agree that Bonoff’s songs are timeless as are her recordings. The media continues to follow and shine a spotlight on Karla’s ongoing career milestones.
