Jack Willow Jr. had played in bands across the Southeastern US for years when he decided to quit the music business. For the next two years, he worked three jobs and wrote three songs a month, sending a few to friends each month. He was a regular Joe again, and had no qualms about it. In his own words: “I can’t stress this enough: I’m not a genius, not special. I'm pretty ordinary. I don’t really have much style, I don’t look cool on the internet. I’m just some guy. The guy delivering your food. The dude ripping your ticket at the museum, or laying the new floor in your house.”

With no touring or promo to do, he was able to spend months recording at home and longer months in the studio. The standard project of making folk rock songs grew more ambitious, adding horns, strings, synth, and huge vocal arrangements.

"Before I knew it, I was way over budget on this thing. We ended up working out a barter deal to pay off studio time. I worked on improvements around the studio: landscaping, painting, power wash, flooring. Several hundred hours. I’d like to think that despite the more complex pieces, these songs picked up all that sweat and elbow grease: you can hear the long hours of labor that went into them.” Three years later, all that sweat has taken shape. Jack Willow Jr.’s expansive indie folk album KING FEAR, coming 5.24.2019, intends to show us good things are worth the wait.

Taking influences from pop, Americana, classic rock, and folk, Christiane fights to make her voice heard by exploring the different genres encompassed under Americana music. Painfully relatable lyrics are combined with ear-catching rhythms, making songs about struggles with mental illness, toxic relationships, and grief that will stick in your head and your heart.
