ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Ohio-based Beartooth brings a punk edge to the metalcore genre. Frontman Caleb Shomo formed the band as an alternative creative outlet during his time as lead vocalist for Attack Attack! Signaling a departure from Attack Attack!’s heavily produced electronicore, Beartooth delivers a sonic gut punch that feels both raw and rooted. Song after song, the band harnesses their inner turmoil, chewing up and spitting out emotional desolation and desperate dark nights of the soul.
When Rolling Stone introduced Beartooth as one of the ten new artists you need to know, the magazine rightly described their sound as “like a nervous breakdown, usually with enough optimism to push through.” As long as the dueling dichotomy of mental anguish and creative catharsis remain bound together, Shomo and the crew will be there to oversee the show.
