Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime, encompasses the same sense of place and purpose as its namesake and continues to channel the spirit of Sublime with an unrivaled fury. Through their perfect replication of Sublime’s essence, Badfish separates itself from other tribute bands, earning the dedicated following usually reserved for label-driven mainstream acts. That’s not to say the band’s sound is stagnant. Its members have found their own identity, not performing as Sublime would have, or did, but as Badfish does.
