  • Service Animal Policy: Service animals are welcome at Smithsonian museums. Service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, are dogs trained to do work or perform specific tasks for a guest with a disability.
You are reserving free passes for the National Museum of African American History and Culture. 

Advance passes are released at 8:00 a.m. ET, for time slots 30 days out.
 
If your desired date is not available, same-day passes are released daily beginning at 8:15 a.m. ET on this webpage.

You will have 15 minutes to complete your transaction after selecting passes. If you need more time, please email NMAAHCVisitorServices@si.edu.
 
All groups (schools, families, educational groups, etc.) larger than nine must use the group reservation link.


Many items are prohibited at all Smithsonian museums

Do not bring sharp items into the museums such as knives (including pocket or "Swiss Army" style knives), screwdrivers, scissors, etc. Other items not permitted include firearms, pepper spray, and Mace.
